Growth Mindset Work Continues…
This year, we will continue our work in ensuring that our students and staff are centered on having a Growth Mindset. Last year, we started our work by including a growth mindset quote and message on morning announcements, having bulletin boards dedicated to sending positive messages surrounding the importance of hard work, trying your best, and not being afraid of challenges, and having classroom posters and structures in place to reinforce this effort. It is critical for our children to understand that we all make mistakes. But, the important thing to remember is that mistakes help us learn. We all have strengths and opportunities for growth in different areas. This year, we will continue to embed positive messages and support that are centered on having a growth mindset each day and with each new situation that we face. We will also have a monthly trait/focus delivered through classroom read alouds that will discuss the importance of qualities such as, perseverance, determination, leadership, and much more.
